Open Edit Channel → Permissions. Add the bot itself or its existing bot role and explicitly allow the permissions for your delivery format.

The installer needs Manage Server. The bot itself does not need Administrator or Manage Server.

Private or read-only channel?

Invite permissions do not override channel restrictions. Explicitly allow the bot or its existing role to view and send in this channel. No extra role is required. Text-only delivery needs View Channel and Send Messages.

On your server

Configure daily posts and create permanent menus in your channel.

/targetloot setup channel:#target-loot format:image: Set the post channel and format. Choose image, text or both. Sends the current rotation after setup.
/targetloot status: Check the server's Target Loot subscription and configured channel.
/targetloot disable: Stop automatic Target Loot posts for this server.
/targetloot menu view:history: Create a permanent Loot History menu in this channel. Results are private to the person using it.
/targetloot menu view:info: Create a permanent Loot Info menu with private set information.

In your DMs

Install the app for DMs or open a DM with the bot.

/targetlootdm help: Get detailed help for all private Target Loot commands.
/targetlootdm current: Receive the current Escalation Target Loot privately.
/targetlootdm lootinfo name:Heartbreaker: Look up Brand Set or Gear Set bonuses and talents. Optional: named_items:true includes named items when available.
/targetlootdm history name:Striker: Look up how often an item appeared and its recorded Target Loot history.
/targetlootdm subscribe: Receive daily Target Loot DMs when ProtoTrack publishes.
/targetlootdm unsubscribe: Stop your daily Target Loot DMs.

Your private watchlist

Follow Brand Sets, Gear Sets, weapons, gear slots or mods. For example: Striker's Battlegear, Body Armor, Rifles or Gear Mods.

/targetlootdm watch add name:Striker's Battlegear: Add loot to your private watchlist.
/targetlootdm watch remove name:Striker's Battlegear: Remove one item from your watchlist.
/targetlootdm watch list: Show everything on your watchlist.
/targetlootdm watch clear: Clear your entire private watchlist.

Troubleshooting

Find the problem. Check the fix.

Command is not visible: Check that the bot is installed. Re-invite it and wait a moment if needed. Server commands can also require fresh registration by the ProtoTrack team.
Setup works, but no first post appears: Check the selected channel's permissions. Explicitly allow View Channel and Send Messages, plus Embed Links for image links or Attach Files for image attachments.
Want text instead of an image?: Run /targetloot setup again with format:text. Use format:image for an image or format:both for both.
Missing Permissions: In the actual channel, grant the bot or its existing role View Channel and Send Messages. Add the image permissions for your format, then run setup again.
Missing Access / HTTP 403: Confirm the bot is a server member and the channel still exists. For private channels, explicitly allow the bot or its existing role to view and send. Invite permissions alone are not enough; no extra role is required.
Wrong channel was selected: Run /targetloot setup again with the correct channel. The latest setup replaces the old one.
Stop posts on your server: Use /targetloot disable or remove the bot from the server.

ProtoTrack Target Loot Bot is now available through the Discord App Directory.
Setup now requires admins to choose a delivery format after selecting the channel.
