Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ProtoTrack handles information for the ProtoTrack website, the Discord application named Daily Escalation Target Loot, the related ProtoTrack bot pages, and the ProtoTrack Daily Target Loot Twitch Extension.

Information We Collect

ProtoTrack collects information needed to operate its Target Loot services and the features described below:

• Discord server ID, server name, selected channel ID, selected channel name, and setup status for Target Loot subscriptions.
• The Discord user ID and username of the person who configured the Target Loot bot for a server.
• Publish status and error messages returned by Discord, such as Missing Permissions or Missing Access.
• Basic technical information needed to run and secure the service, such as request timestamps and server logs.

How We Use Information

We use this information to provide and maintain ProtoTrack features, including:

• Posting Daily Escalation Target Loot to configured Discord channels.
• Showing setup and publish status to ProtoTrack administrators.
• Operating the /targetloot slash commands.
• Detecting setup errors, preventing abuse, and keeping the service reliable.

Discord Data

ProtoTrack uses Discord API data only as needed to provide the bot's stated functionality. The Target Loot bot does not read general server messages, does not track private conversations, and does not require privileged gateway intents for its normal Target Loot publishing flow.

Volunteer Applications

If you apply to help with Target Loot, we use your signed-in Discord identity and check your membership and rules status on the official ProtoTrack server. The form collects your platform and in-game name, Target Loot experience, availability and time zone, and motivation. No email address is required. Do not include passwords, tokens or account login details.

Submitting the form shares your answers in a private Discord application ticket accessible to you, the configured ProtoTrack team, the bot and server administrators. The team uses the ticket to review your application and discuss it with you. Closing a ticket may preserve its conversation as a read-only archive; it does not automatically grant team or editor access.

ProtoTrack keeps private ticket identifiers and status metadata for recovery and duplicate prevention. Application answers are held in the private delivery journal until their Discord message is confirmed, then removed from that journal. The website does not store your answers in its session or include them in confirmation URLs or ticket lifecycle logs. You can contact ProtoTrack to request correction or removal of your application information.

Discord API Access Requests

If you request API access through the official ProtoTrack Discord server, we check your Discord identity, community membership and rules status. The form collects your project name and optional public link, intended use and redistribution, requested data or endpoints, and expected request volume and caching. Do not include API keys, bot tokens, passwords or other credentials.

Your answers are shared in a private ticket accessible to you, the configured ProtoTrack team, the bot and server administrators. They are held in the private delivery journal until their Discord message is confirmed, then removed from that journal; lifecycle logs contain ticket identifiers, category and status rather than your answers. Closed conversations may remain as read-only archives. Requests are reviewed individually and do not automatically grant API access. Contact ProtoTrack to request correction or removal of your request information.

Twitch Extension

The extension receives a Twitch-signed access token and sends it to ProtoTrack's data service to verify access. Tokens contain a channel identifier, an opaque viewer or session identifier, an expiry time and a role. The extension does not request identity sharing, read chat, create viewer profiles, or enable Bits or subscription features. ProtoTrack uses token claims only to validate the request and does not persist tokens or viewer identifiers in an application database or application logs.

Broadcaster design preferences, such as colors and list density, are stored per channel in Twitch's Configuration Service. The extension keeps its access token and the displayed loot data in browser memory. The public extension does not set cookies or use browser local storage. Technical hosting logs may contain IP addresses and request timestamps under the hosting service's logging and retention settings; the extension does not add analytics or advertising trackers.

Website Usage Statistics

ProtoTrack processes existing hosting access logs to understand website usage. The private administrator dashboard shows daily and hourly page-view totals, popular page paths and broad referral categories. The statistics system does not store raw log entries, IP addresses, browser strings, full referral URLs, URL queries, authentication headers or Discord identities, and does not add browser cookies or local storage.

Estimated daily visitors are deduplicated using a keyed technical identifier derived from the hosting log's IP and browser information. The identifier changes each UTC day and is retained for seven UTC dates. It is not used to identify people or connect visits across days. Aggregated usage summaries are retained for 400 days. Hosting access logs are managed separately under the provider's logging and retention settings.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by hosting providers, database providers, Discord, Twitch, or other service providers that are necessary to operate ProtoTrack. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users, or to protect the security and integrity of the service.

Retention

Discord server subscription records are kept while a server uses the bot. If a server disables the bot or requests removal, the related subscription record can be removed or disabled.

Your Choices

• Server admins can stop Target Loot posts by running /targetloot disable or removing the bot from the server.
• Server admins can change the target channel by running /targetloot setup again.
• You can request deletion or correction of information associated with your server by contacting ProtoTrack.
• Broadcasters can change their Twitch channel preferences in the extension configuration and deactivate or uninstall the extension through Twitch. For questions or removal requests about extension settings, contact ProtoTrack.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information handled by ProtoTrack. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

ProtoTrack is intended for gaming communities permitted to use the relevant Discord or Twitch services. It is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
